醜女 Bu Su
市川準首度執導演筒的代表作。一心想成為藝妓的高中女孩，從鄉下到開設藝妓屋的阿姨家學習，雖然開始得並不順利，在學校也被排擠，但隨著文化祭的即將到來，她將表演傳統舞蹈，一切也似乎有了轉機…。乍看典型的青春成長故事，透過市川準的巧手琢磨，綿密細膩地撲滿了真實的生活細節，當年日劇紅星富田靖子活靈活現的演出，也加深層次的豐富性。
Bu Su tells a story about a girl who wants to be a geisha, a traditional Japanese prostitute. She lives with her aunt who runs a geisha-house. The movie follows the girl in school, where she's not accepted by other students, her course of geisha doesn't go so well either. But life seems to get better when she's asked to perform as a traditional dancer on a school theater night..., and she is rough and selfish. However, a few people are attracted by her beauty and unique character. In this summer, Tugumi loves Kyoichi Takahashi, who works in the art gallery of the town. One of Tugumi's ex-boyfriend, the leader of bad boys, attacks Kyoichi and kills Tugumi's pet dog out of jealousy. Therefore Tugumi plans revenge.
