唐飛在追捕重犯張日東時發生了嚴重車禍，並誤殺了檢控官高敏的大女兒。三個月後，敏對車禍後甦醒的東作出檢控。同時間，雙目瀕於失明的洪荊為求儘快賺錢以照顧癱瘓的妻子，接受綁架敏小女兒的工作，以使敏對東撤銷控罪。敏面對兩難局面卻仍堅拒飛的協助，惟飛仍鍥而不捨的追查，繼而揭發一宗車禍如何徹底改變了他們三人的命運。
Sergeant Tong Fei mistakenly killed the elder daughter of public prosecutor Ann Gao while he was in the process of capturing wanted criminal Cheung Yat-tung. Ann works doubly hard to bring Cheung to justice. But as Cheung is about to stand trial, Ann’s younger daughter, Ling, is kidnapped by a professional killer Hung King; to be returned only if she drops all charges against Cheung...
