2009 台北金馬影展 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival

唐末亂世，土匪擄了女孩充當人質，不料還沒交換人質與糧食，老大就被殺了，負責看守女孩的何南意外成了新首領，而他與女孩也從對立逐漸產生情愫，奈何土匪走的是一條無法回頭的路，成家落戶只是夢想，最後終究得走上悲涼絕路。《策馬入林》帶有黑澤明電影的味道，在追求寫實的結果下，也讓攝影對光的暗部層次作了細緻處理。

The film begins with the arrival of a group of bandits in a village. Dissatisfied with the low quantity of grain offered, they kidnap the village-chief's daughter, Dan Zhu, and give ten days for the filling of the quota. On the way back to their hide-out, Dan Zhu is raped by one of the bandits, He Nan. As the days go by, He Nan seems to have developed feeling for her, defends her from his fellow bandits, and Dan Zhu has softened towards him too…
