將自己囚禁在紅色房車裡的男人，八年來始終等待失蹤妻子的回歸，每天開車行駛於一條車禍頻傳的公路，因此遇上了天生罹患疼痛症的女孩。與女孩相依為命的修車廠老伯，兒子在八年前一場車禍中變成植物人，也從此掩埋了老伯深藏的秘密。全片毫無半句對白，只以死亡、情慾、傷痛與記憶作為通關密語，端上一場奇詭淒絕的影像盛宴。

This ring-like island is what the world used to be like. For eight years Hao's wife remains missing. He is in this van where he meets a weird girl, Meimei, and falls in love with her. Meimei was adopted by an old man when she was little and now she helps him run a car-mending factory. The old man secretly loves Meimei but behind his back, there was a bigger secret which is somehow linked to Hao.
