自從父親將鑰匙掛到小女孩脖子上後，就注定了小女孩要面對無盡的孤單，她唯一的希望就是父親能夠早點回家看看她，但是手中的鑰匙卻無法開啟一間充滿溫暖的房子，換來的卻是空洞且冰冷的深谷。她的恐懼、她的幻想、還有她的夢境、都由這把鑰匙串連，打開一扇扇逃避與追尋的門，進入鑰匙兒童的幽閉世界。
Applying the symbolic meaning of the key to foreground the complex emotions of latchkey child including invisible loneliness, fears, fantasies, dreams and memories, the story unfolds and leads the audience into the lonely world of latchkey child by unlocking several doors that the latchkey child would either like to elude or pursue.
