秦趙兩國決戰于長平，趙國的潞邑城城主率領所有男人去打仗。夫人驪和婦孺老幼們孤零零守候在一片即將成熟的麥田中，期盼著男人們回來。一天，潞邑的河邊出現了昏厥的暇和輒，女人們並不知道這是兩個秦國的逃兵。兩個人謊稱自己是趙國人，編造了趙國大勝秦軍的謊言，在眾所期盼之下，荒誕的故事不斷地朝更荒誕的方向發展。
Chung, Lord of Luyi, a small town in the state of Zhao, has barely tied the knot with the young and beautiful Li when he had to leave with all able-bodied men in town for the battlefield. Like all the women and children, Li prays every day that Zhao will defeat Qin, and their men will return home safely. A year passes, no news from the battlefield…
