2009 台北金馬影展 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival

1973年底，CBGB在紐約下東城百老匯大道開張，街頭住滿了毒蟲、酒鬼與流浪漢。老闆克里斯托訂下一條規矩：想上台，就得表演原創歌曲。CBGB從此成為龐克與新浪潮的原鄉，孕育出Ramones、Talking Heads與Blondie等經典團體。可惜抵抗不了城市的變遷，在樂手的搶救下仍於2006年關門。本片回顧了這座傳奇場館的精彩事蹟，CBGB體現的搖滾精神永遠不滅。

Burning Down the House is a feature documentary that details the history of the legendary and infamous rock club CBGB and its founder Hilly Kristal. Hilly opened CBGB in December of 1973 at 313 Bowery. He intended the club to serve as a venue for original country, bluegrass and blues music. But by 1974 he had exhausted the city's music supply and decided to expand the club's repertoire to include rock n' roll.
